DRY SKIN
Dry skin may be caused by environmental conditions drying
it out, lack of sebaceous gland activity, it could be
hereditary or the water-holding capacity of the skin has
been disrupted. Dry skin generally refers to skin lacking in
oil.
It can appear:
# Rough, dry or flaky
# Dull, tight or pale in color
# Thin epidermis
# Lack of elasticity which can result in fine lines and
wrinkles.

To treat dry skin:
1. Use a gentle milky or cream cleanser
2. Avoid hot showers- hot water strips oils from the
skin faster than warm water
3. Use a vitamin based moisturizer Morning and Night
4. Drink lots of water
5. Exfoliate once a week
6. Use a hydrating mask once a week
7. Eat Omega 3 foods- essential fatty acids can help to
strengthen the skins natural oil retaining barrier preventing
moisture loss
MATURE SKIN
Aging skin is the loss of subcutaneous support (fatty
tissue between your skin and muscle) aging also plays
a key role. Environmental and lifestyle choices also
contribute.
It can appear:
# Rough, drier, sagging & wrinkly
# Dull and have sun spots

To treat aging skin:
# Cleanse your skin each day
# Exfoliate once a week
# Use a hydrating mask once a week
# Use a hydrating toner during the day
# Use a mask once a week to help with hydration of the
skin
# Drink plenty of water and a healthy diet
# Making sure your using an SPF each day
# Use a vitamin based moisturizer
SENSITIVE SKIN
Sensitive skin is a skin condition prone to itching and
irritation experienced from using certain cosmetics and
toiletries.
It can appear:
# Red,swollen, rough, tight skin, burning or itchy and
stinging

To treat Sensitive skin:
1. Use a gentle calming cleanser with warm water
morning and night
2. Use a calming mask once a week
3. Use a vitamin based moisturiser to sooth sensitive and
irritated skin
4. Try & work out what may be causing the sensitivity
Oily Skin

Our body produces oil to help keep our skin soft and
supple, but if too much sebum is produced within the
pores, it can lead to acne flare-ups and oiliness.

It can appear:
# Shiny, visibly oily and with black heads & pimples
# Large pores & shallow complexion & Thick
epidermis

To treat oily skin:
1. Cleanse your skin twice a day with a salicylic or tea
tree cleanser
2. Exfoliate once a week
3. Use a mask once a week to help draw out the
excess oil
4. Use mineral makeup
5. Moisturise with a light non greasy moisturiser
